1. Who we are

ProductCopyAI is an AI-powered ecommerce product-content generation service operated by CHIC EXPERT LTD, a company incorporated in England and Wales. References to "we", "us", or "ProductCopyAI" mean CHIC EXPERT LTD.

We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about what we collect and why.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name (if provided), email address, and a hashed password. We use this to create and manage your account and to send transactional emails such as email verification and password resets.

Product information you submit

To generate product content, you may submit product names, descriptions, attributes, keywords, and brand information. Generated product descriptions are stored in your account history and remain accessible from your dashboard until you delete them or close your account.

Product images uploaded for image analysis are passed to Anthropic's API for processing and are not stored by ProductCopyAI. Images are not retained after generation is complete.

Usage information

We collect information about how you use ProductCopyAI, including pages visited, features used, generation activity, and timestamps. Our hosting infrastructure (Vercel) may log IP addresses as part of normal server operation; we do not separately store or process IP addresses at the application level.

Billing information

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details. We receive billing-related information from Stripe such as your subscription status, plan, and payment history in order to manage your account.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising targeting.

4. AI processing

ProductCopyAI uses Anthropic's Claude API to generate product content. Product information you submit — including product names, attributes, descriptions, and any text fields — is sent to Anthropic's API to produce the requested output. Product images are sent to Anthropic for temporary processing only and are not retained by Anthropic after the API response is returned.

This processing is carried out in accordance with Anthropic's Privacy Policy and our data processing agreement with them.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use necessary cookies for authentication and security. We use optional analytics cookies (Google Analytics GA4) only with your explicit consent. GA4 is not loaded until you accept analytics cookies — if you reject, no analytics data is collected.

6. Third-party services

ProductCopyAI uses the following third-party services:

• Anthropic — AI content generation (Claude API)
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management
• Resend — transactional email delivery (verification, password reset)
• Google Analytics (GA4) — usage analytics, with your consent only
• Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
• Supabase / PostgreSQL — database and authentication infrastructure

Each provider processes data according to their own privacy policies and our contractual arrangements with them.

7. Data retention

• Account data is retained while your account is active
• Generated product descriptions are stored in your history until you delete them or close your account
• Product images are not retained — they are processed in memory and discarded
• Billing records are retained as required by applicable financial and tax regulations
• On account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is legally required

8. Data security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are stored as cryptographic hashes and are never stored in plain text. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of personal data we hold about you
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion — request deletion of your personal data
• Restriction — request restriction of processing in certain circumstances
• Portability — request your data in a portable format
• Objection — object to certain types of processing

ProductCopyAI is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

11. International transfers

As a UK company serving users worldwide, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries where our service providers operate. Such transfers are made subject to appropriate safeguards in accordance with applicable data protection law, including UK GDPR.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by notifying you by email. Continued use of ProductCopyAI after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
